LONDON — C-3PO himself has been added to the list of Star Wars celebrities attending the Celebration July 15-17! While Daniels is a huge part of Star Wars fandom, the reaction to the announcement has come with quite an unexpected level of excitement.

Yesterday the halls of the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre were near empty aside from a lone fan in a Kylo Ren tent. When news broke of Daniels’ addition to the Europeen Celebration fans seemed to appear out of nowhere and they have clearly come for one reason. Fans are decked out in all things “Red Arm” — from movie-quality costume pieces to backpacks. One guy even had his entire arm tattooed red. They began inserting “Thank the Maker” into the traditional Manchester United chant and carried on for a good 90 minutes.

Daniels reportedly has informed Rian Johnson of the fan reaction and is drafting up another story involving Threepio’s red arm. The gold arm was reinstalled at the end of The Force Awakens and was to appear in Episode VIII. The gold arm will be CG’ed out in all TFA formats released post Celebration and re-shoots will take place to insure the fabled red arm appears in VIII as well. Daniels will hold a special “writers masterclass” after his appearance with the Europeen Celebration panel detailing how he came up with the concept of the red arm and how young aspiring writers/actors can come up with their own spark of genius.

This Celebration may prove to be one of the most memorable with perhaps the most complete lineup of Star Wars stars making an appearance including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Warwick David and Hayden Christensen! Unfortunately Gareth Edwards and the Rogue One cast will not be present. They are diligently working on re-shooting half the movie. FSW correspondents will be on location bringing you the best of Celebration 2016!
