Star Wars Characters to Appear in a Mega Disney Crossover Film?!
The folks at Disney have no filter when it comes to making money! They are currently planning a non-canon crossover film titled, Disney’s The Multi-Verse. More after the jump!
So in 2020, following the last announced Marvel Studios film, Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2, Disney will begin working on Disney’s The Multi-Verse which will take characters from some of Disney’s most beloved franchises and throw them all together on one screen…. at the same time. I know it sounds crazy, AND I KNOW CRAZY!
After waking up in a strange new world, pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)witnesses a battle between a digital army (TRON: Legacy) and mighty costumed heroes (Marvel’s Avengers). After the insuing battle and the digital army’s leader, CLU, escapes, a chilling freeze covers the land and ships from a far, far away Galaxy (Star Wars) enter the sky. Captain Jack must join forces with the Avengers, Frozen’s Elsa & Anna, and Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker to take on the threat of CLU’s, Maleficent’s, and Darth Vader’s combined dark forces.
Appearances and cameos from other Disney properties will also make appearances including Indiana Jones, Carl Fredrickson of Pixar’s Up, Wreck-It Ralph, Simba of The Lion King, Cars’ Mater and Lightning McQueen, Jack Skellington of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Balthazar Blake of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Jack Bruno of Race to Witch Mountain, and even Mickey Mouse himself.
Disney’s The Multi-Verse will be written by the one and only Patton Oswalt and directed by Uncle George, creator of Star Wars and Indiana Jones! It is set to release May 21, 2021.
