Star Wars to Crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy in Marvel Comic Mini-Series
Right on the heels of the Star Trek/Green Lantern Corps. comic crossover, Marvel is planning a Star Wars/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover to compete, set to release later this year! More on this after the jump.
This is coming from a Twitter follower, requesting to be called “Wookiee Crisp.”
Wookiee Crisp tells us that a certain smuggler, his Wookiee co-pilot, a mouthy princess, and a golden droid will team up with Star Lord, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, and Gamora in the upcoming series. This will obviously be non-canon in the Star Wars universe but we here at Faking Star Wars are unsure what it means for the Marvel universe. Will this take place in universe 616 or a new continuity altogether?
Anyway, Han, Chewie, Leia, and 3PO are on the run from the Empire and mash their hyperdrive button without punching in coordinates. They end up in a central location in the Marvel universe called Knowhere. Here they dock their ship and meet Peter Quill who says they look a lot like a few characters he saw in a movie as a kid, but passes it off as a coincidence.
The Empire follows Solo, and a duo of Star Destroyers arrive at Knowhere as well and send out stormtroopers to hunt them down. It has a very space-western feel, according to Wookiee Crisp. That’s all “WC” would divulge right now, but we will try to wring some more bits out of him later.
Stay tuned to Faking Star Wars and follow us on Twitter!
