Update on Jake Lloyd’s Parking Lot Celebration and The Duel of theFists!

Thousands of fans have begun pouring into Anaheim for this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration. Among them is a small army of superfans, who are literally parked on top of the best seats in the house. No, not near the entrance to the convention center, but way out back in Parking Lot 94. That’s where Star Wars Episode I – The Phantom Menace actor Jake Lloyd’s alternative celebration of all things Jake is set to take place.

The sizable motor vehicle village parked there erupted in applause and horns early Tuesday morning when Mr. Lloyd’s iconic van-turned-pod-racer arrived. The goateed actor greeted the crowd, then introduced Parking Lot Celebration’s other guests of honor.

2/3 of the new Brat Pack

After several knocks against the back of the van-pod-racer, actors Ahmed Best and Aaron Paul, stumbled out of the vehicle in a cloud of smoke. The buddies then joined Mr. Lloyd on a makeshift stage/hood of some hooptie.

The trio, dubbed Hollywood’s newest Brat Pack, signed several autographs before asking for volunteers to help set up their interactive experiences.

As of this writing, their makeshift crew has erected two large-scale spectacles in the lot. The first is “American NinJar Warrior” — an obstacle course that requires ninja athleticism, and Gungan sensibilities to complete. The course consists of port-o-pottys, yoga mats, inflatable pools, a zipline and several tires, which Mr. Lloyd assures us are “legit pod racing wheels, son.”

Just past “American NinJar Warrior” is the site of the most eagerly anticipated happening at Parking Lot Celebration. A boxing ring has been set up using four trash cans and a handful of bungee cords. On Saturday night, history will be made inside this car park coliseum. That’s when two modern-day gladiator fanboys — Jason “The Beat” Ward from Making Star Wars and Viral “Raw” Hide from Star Wars 7 News — will square off in an epic slapfight where winner fakes all.

Both Mr. Ward and Mr. Hide have already been spotted in the Anaheim area. The image above was snapped of Hide late last night, but we were unable to get a good look at the Imperial Guard’s face. We’re told each has brought in a seasoned trainer to ensure a swift and slap happy victory on Saturday night.

A source tells us Mr. Ward spars with action-adventure star and Darth Maul actor Ray Park every morning at a local park. The expert martial artist has been spotted demonstrating a game-changing dual slap technique on tai- chi practitioners who never see him coming.

As for Mr. Hide, the helmeted one is rumored to be training with Simone Anderson, daughter of Bob Anderson, the champion fencer who choreographed the lightsaber duels in the Original Trilogy. Ms. Anderson is likely instructing Hide on delivering fewer, more controlled slaps that carry more emotional weight than the flashier techniques preferred by Mr. Park. (No image of Simone was available.)

In addition to several experiences and the big Duel of the Fists, Mr. Lloyd promises several surprises for those in attendance and everyone watching his 96-hour live Google Hangout. “We’ll be announcing a top-secret project very close to my heart soon. It’s always a pleasure when you get to work with people who really get you, y’know?” After an awkward pause, we thanked the actor for his quote.

FSW had heard several unconfirmed rumors about what this surprise may be. Is it a mini-concert by Star Wars prequel actor Daniel Logan? Perhaps the tryke pod racing circuit will materialize? Is Aaron Paul having an Xbox One tournament with the soon-to-be-unveiled Star Wars Battlefront? Or is it something even more wizard?!

Stay tuned to Faking Star Wars for the latest announcements from both Celebrations happening this weekend.
