Calling All Fakers! We’re Hiring!
Do you love Star Wars? Can you write convincing fan fiction? Then you may have what it takes to join the Faking Star Wars staff! Hit the jump to learn more about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
We’re seeking writers/artists that can create Star Wars content that is funny, fresh, and somewhat unbelievable.
Sense of humor is a must, as is love of all things Star Wars, and respect for fellow fans. Our goal is to create a humor outlet for Star Wars fans. To that end, humor comes in many shapes and sizes — from a sharp-witted essay or a comic strip to a fake interview or funny captions over photoshopped images, etc. The more voices/contributors we can offer, the richer the experience will be for our audience.
“Does it all have to be fake?” No. We’re mostly interested in fresh POVs on fandom. If you can write an editorial on anything Star Wars with a unique spin on things, you’d fit right in. If you’re a woman, even better! We’re a boy’s club at the moment, and could really use a woman’s perspective.
- No references or credit check required!
- No education needed!
- Just a love of Star Wars and the ability to have fun with the absurdity of fandom.
Drop us a line, so we can grow the Faking family. These other guys are starting to creep me out.
Sorry, forgot to mention the most important part: we offer a very competitive salary (none), comprehensive benefits package (fake), and extensive stock options (nil).
If still interested, I love you (true). Please contact us at FakingStarWars@gmail.com
PROTIP: APPLICANTS WITH THE NAME JASON OR AMANDA OR SURNAME OF WARD WILL BE REJECTED OUTRIGHT.
