Star Wars Topps Card Trader App Involved In FBI Investigation?
A few months back the new Topps Star Wars Card Trader App went live. The App has made boat loads of money off users collecting the “cards”, which are actually just pictures on your phone….Yeah we can’t figure it out either. The App is involved in a fraud investigation due to charges being filed by Topps. Confused? Hit the jump to find out where the digital picture trader has gone wrong.
Topps newest venture into digital card trading has been a smash hit with Star Wars fans everywhere willing to shell out cash for digital cards on their phone. While some people have a hard time understanding how people could be interested in paying for such things, the fact remains the app is making a lot of jang. One has to ask, where is all that cheddar going? According to Jacen’s lawyer cousin, Topps just got the FBI involved in a fraud investigation involving the app.
Shortly after the launch of the app, Topps discovered the funds from the app were not able to be accessed and shut the app down. If you have the app you know since its release it has been flourishing and operating normally. Topps believes the app was hacked and had been pirate operated by a Bulgarian mob affiliate known only as “The Vamps”. This enigmatic organization is also being investigated for the recent Starbucks app hack, The hallucinogen Jedi Gels candy incident (more on that story soon) and is said to be running several fraudulent websites globally. Topps urges all app users to tread carefully and wait until they regain control over the app before wasting more of their money on worthless digital images.
