Star Wars Easter Egg Spotted in Jurassic World!

Have you seen Jurassic World yet?  Did you catch the super cool tip of the hat from ILM to Star Wars?  And we’re not talking about The Force Awakens merchandise you can see placed on the shelves in the gift shop on the island – we’re taking about something far more perfectly snuck into the film!  If you haven’t seen it yet and plan to this weekend like the rest of the planet then read after the jump to make sure you pay attention during one particular scene!

Ok, still here?  When you watch the movie (or watch it again now you know what we’re about to tell you) pay close attention during the laboratory scenes.  You catch a glimpse of the lab in the trailer.

Hybrids are all the rage this season!
If you’re gonna endanger lives ya gotta have a spine!

You can catch an ever-so-quick shot of various eggs, embryos and beakers of various organisms being process tested.  And what are two of them labelled?

“Tauntaun Hybrid – Test 04” and “Dewback DNA – Tat-O Sample”!

Seems like the folks at ILM never forget where they started, and love tossing fans a little dino-bone whenever they can.  Unless you think this is Colin Trevorrow’s way of dropping a thank you to Brad Bird since it was Bird’s passing on Episode VII that landed him the Jurassic World meeting with Frank Marshall and Stephen Spielberg.  Or, speculate away, is this the perfectly timed hint that Trevorrow is going to be announced as an Anthology film director?

Either way, it’s a fun easter egg!  If you are handy with your smartphone try and snap a photo and send it our way!
