Exclusive! Part of Hamill and Ridley’s Dialog From Star Wars Episode VIII
Jacen’s cousin, who goes by Deth, is a ferry boat driver in Ireland. His company was hired by Lucasfilm to take the cast and crew to Skellig Michael island. While in transit, he overheard Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill rehearsing their lines early Tuesday morning. After the jump see what they said!
Just a note this was heard while they were going over their lines for Rian Johnson’s Episode VIII. Both Ridley and Hamill were wrapped in black cloaks hiding their costumes, similar to the secrecy of The Force Awakens.
HAMILL: Your training is nearly complete, Kira. You have made me very proud.
You can really hear the pride in his voice when saying this. He also seems very “fatherly.”
HAMILL: Take your lightsaber. It’s time we test your skills in combat.
RIDELY: You know I don’t like using it, Master.
She seemed annoyed to be going over saber combat.
HAMILL: You never know when you’re going to need to execute it. If you had practiced the skill in exile, the duel with Kylo may have ended differently and your father could still be here.
Pride quickly turned to concern and sadness as he speaks of Ridley’s character’s father. She sighed before saying her next line.
RIDLEY: I know, Master. It’s just so…
Ridley trails off.
HAMILL: Violent?
RIDLEY: Yes. I don’t want the same thing that happened to my brother to happen to me.
Ridley seemed really scared. Hamill is now very firm, like correcting a young child.
HAMILL: What happened with Kylo will not happen to you. He was tricked by the Knights’ leader and seduced by their wicked ways because of his lust for power.
At this point Rian stopped them and said it was really good, although he may have been talking about the hush puppies he was eating. I think he noticed me listening. I also want to mention Ridley had the staff seen in the trailers and promo artwork. I’m pretty sure it is her lightsaber Hamill was referring to.
How about that folks?! Pretty great huh? Due to the nature of the lines I believe this to be one of the first scenes in Episode VIII. What do you think?
