Exclusive! The Force Awakens Post-Credits Scene Revealed!

While a post-credits scene sounds like a bad idea to most fans, Disney knows it works for their Marvel films and plans on including them in Star Wars as well. After the jump see what the post-credits scene in TFA will reveal and what it means for Episode VIII.

Starting off, beware spoilers! If you don’t want to know what’s going to happen, do not read any further!

The first reveal involves Benicio del Toro’s character. He will appear in the post-credits TFA scene before starring in Episode VIII. Del Toro will be an Expanded Universe alien called a Cathar as seen in this concept art above and rumors point to him being a key antagonist moving forward.

Exclusive First Look at Burrito Supreme Leader Snoke.

What does this mean for Andy Serkis’ Supreme Leader Snoke Ren? Well we have the answer for you! Del Toro’s character, named Traz, is a Knight of Ren who serves right above the rank of Kylo Ren.

In the post-credits scene, Kylo Ren, now a half-cyborg after a grueling duel with Luke Skywalker, meets with Traz and a few of the other Knights of Ren to discuss the betrayal of Snoke since they blame his leadership for the Resistance’s destruction of Starkiller Base.

While this won’t surprise most fans, as dark siders tend to kill their superiors pretty often, what I’m about to share next will.

Sitting at the table in the Knights of Ren assembly are also three more recognizable characters from Star Wars lore… okay if you want to be surprised in the theater turn back now….

None other than Maul (Ray Park, voiced by Sam Witwer), Legacy’s Darth Talon (Gwendoline Chrisite wearing the Phasma armor without a helmet but in full red Twi’lek makeup), and Boba Fett (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) are sitting with them! Maul is clearly the leader of the assembly as he is seated at the head of the table. Talon/Phasma (she is addressed as Phasma) and Kylo on either side and Boba in full armor to Kylo’s right. Traz takes the open seat by Phasma.

Maul has definitely changed since we last saw him in the Son of Dathomir comic. Maul now wears an eyepatch, some of his horns are missing and one of his hands is robotic. It’s also good to mention that they all have Ren attached to their names. Maul Ren, Phasma Ren, Boba Ren, etc.

I wasn’t able to get the details on what exactly will be said but it does set the stage for Episode VIII and what’s in store for Luke and the other good guys. There is no Infinity Gauntlet in sight by the way.

Just a note, this scene will take place midway through the credits and a teaser for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be at the very end so stick around in the theater everyone!
