Gold Rush Star To Cameo in The Force Awakens

Reality TV star, Parker Schnabel has confirmed he will have a small cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Join us after the jump to see how he landed the gig.

The star from the hit Discovery Channel show Gold Rush attended a casting call in the summer of 2014 searching for Adam Driver lookalikes for the upcoming Star Wars film The Force Awakens. Jacen’s cousin, who just so happens to be related to one of Parker’s new crew members this season has revealed to us an image that Parker Schnabel himself texted, as he boasted about the role.

We have highlighted the image that Parker sent so you can get a good look at his face. As you can see, its the rumored “Adam Driver in an X-Wing flight suit at Greenham Commons” photo that was the center of controversy early in production of the film. It looks like the Gold Rush star may be telling the truth about his role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

We have also learned that director JJ Abrams has cast lookalikes of all main castmembers to throw fans off the trail of how the film will play out.  Parker let it slip that a Mark Hamill lookalike is a Knight of Ren and a Daisy Ridley lookalike is a stripper in Maz’s castle.
