Batman v Superman Gives Mark Hamill Eye Damage
IRELAND — Mark Hamill, famous for portraying not only Luke Skywalker in Star Wars but also voicing the Joker in animated Batman media, was given access to view Warner Bros’ latest venture into the DC cinematic experience; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice due to his past working with DC and being an all-around cool guy. Mark went on record to say that he was emailed a torrent file of the film from director Zack Snyder which he planned to watch on an off day from filming Episode VIII.
With his son Nathan and fellow Star Wars actors John Boyega, Oscar Issac, Benicio Del Toro, and Greg Grunberg in tow, the Hamill boys rented out the local pub Mutton Lane Inn to project the film on the establishment’s wall, while enjoying local Irish delicacies and beer. About an hour into the film, when Batman and Superman finally duke it out, the elder Hamill’s eyes began bleeding excessively.
Oscar Isaac, who was apparently a volunteer ambulance driver while in acting school, hopped to it and assisted Hamill to his rental mini-van and drove him to the nearest hospital where he is currently recovering. Director Rian Johnson has stated that production will continue filming scenes where Mr. Hamill is not present to avoid another delay but asked for fans’ thoughts and prayers for Mark.
