Episode VIII Director Rian Johnson Boycotts Disney’s Georgia Boycott
ATLANTA, GA — In light of Disney/Marvel’s boycott of Georgia due to the Religious Liberty bill, Star Wars Episode VIII director, Rian Johnson has taken a stand against Lucasfilm’s parent company. Johnson, a devout Pastafarian, says Disney is being insensitive towards its faith-believing employees and taking jobs away from Georgia based workers so he has issued the following statement.
“Disney is all about tolerance and allowing people to believe in what they wish whether it be traditional Judaism or Islam to offbeat religions such as my own Pastafarianism. The fact they think people should be forced to go against their beliefs is flabbergasting, therefore I will be scheduling time at Georgia’s Pinewood Studios Atlanta for a portion of the Episode VIII filming, to make sure those employees in Georgia are able to make ends meet. I, as a registered Pastafarian priest, should not be forced to perform a marriage between two people of differing beliefs than my own, even though I do on a regular basis by my own choice. That is all.”
Without sharing our own political stance on the matter, we applaud Rian for taking a stand for what he believes in, even though we find his noodle-y god a bit strange. Stay tuned to FakingStarWars for more fake news about fake topics.
