Director Rian Johnson Contributes Autograph to New Star Wars Novel
NEW YORK, NY — The upcoming novel Star Wars: Bloodline is undoubtedly canon, but now it’s closer to film level canon thanks to direct input from director Rian Johnson’s.
“Most of the autograph on the cover and really the entire inscription came straight from the mind of Rian Johnson,” said Bloodline author Claudia Gray.
Johnson was gracious enough to sign an advance copy of the novel in the wee hours of the night at a small airport in Ireland.
“My family has a summer home a short swim away from Skellig-Michael, so it was kismet that Rian was there too. The Force is so weird, right?!”
After the brief encounter in the men’s room, Gray was escorted to the curb by airport security. The author immediately had Johnson’s autograph and personalized note analyzed by handwriting experts. Gray shared the results exclusively with FakingStarWars.
According to Professor Navin Gupta of Freedom University, the deep strokes and high curlicues of Rian’s autograph indicate a very strong affinity for the novel.
“In my opinion his [John] “Hancock-ery” holds clues to Episode VIII, which are further realized in my client Claudia Gray’s novel Star Wars: Bloodline available May 3rd wherever books are sold.”
As for the inscription, neither Gray or Gupta could make heads or tails of what “Get a life, loser” could possibly mean.
“That’s the thing about Rian… he works in mysterious ways,” said Gray.
Perhaps Star Wars: Bloodline, which is set in the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, will solve the mystery.
