Daniel Craig Done with Bond, Focusing on Star Wars Cameos

LONDON, ENGLAND — Daniel Craig, the actor most famous for portraying James Bond, has reportedly turned his back on a two-film deal worth £68 million. This comes after prolonged negotiations with MGM wherein the actor’s nasty remarks about the underwhelming last entry in the 007 film series became a sticking point.

It seems Craig enjoyed his visit to the Star Wars galaxy a bit too much. Sources tell us Craig was so happy with his brief stormtrooper appearance in The Force Awakens, he’d like to pursue cameos in the space opera films full-time, similar to fellow thespian Simon Pegg.

Despite it now seeming incredibly unlikely that Craig would return as James Bond in any future films, an official announcement is yet to be made. A late-breaking report has suggested, however, that Craig’s decision to step down is all but confirmed with an LA source telling FSW:

“Daniel is done – pure and simple – he told top brass at MGM after Spectre. They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn’t what he wanted. He’d like to pursue Star Wars cameos full time.”

Craig is currently undergoing intense core workout training for his upcomimg role as the top half of a space horse in the Han Solo spin off film. Unsurprisingly, the bottom half of the horse is set to be played by Tom Hardy, also re-thinking leading man status after his own stormtrooper cameo in Episode VIII.
