Maz’s Castle Gives Dozens of Beings Food Poisoning
NYMEVE LAKE, TAKODANA — The New Republic Food and Drug Administration is investigating an outbreak of food poisoning at Maz’s Castle on Takodana. The NRFDA said it had received several reports of food poisoning at the castle on Monday night. Dozens of beings took to the Maz’s Castle Facebook page to report symptoms of food poisoning following the event.
Ediro Twotubes, 75, of Tar Tonga, said he and his eggmate Benthic had been ill since Tuesday morning after eating at Maz’s Castle on Monday night. The self-employed pilot said they had both suffered from stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea along with a fever and high temperature.
“I didn’t have anything else to eat that evening. I was ill all last night, I haven’t slept. It’s a massive inconvenience; I cancelled two shipments I was scheduled to take today from Sariff to Tatooine, being a self-employed pilot, it’s a problem. I paid 56 credits for days worth of chronic illness. I wasn’t expecting that.”
Chirrut Îmwe, 53, of Jedha, also ate at Maz’s and was off work today because of stomach cramps.
“I went to bed feeling fine but by this morning I was having stomach problems. Just stomach cramps, nothing the Force can’t handle. I can’t put it down to anything else I’d eaten in the last couple of days. I won’t be eating at Maz’s again anytime soon.”
A spokesman for the New Republic Food and Drug Administration, said:
“We are investigating multiple reports about suspected food poisoning at Maz’s Castle on Takodana. If you suspect you are suffering from food poisoning, please contact NRFDA. We’d advise anyone suffering from vomiting and diarrhea to follow our advice to stay at home, keep hydrated and get plenty of rest.”
FSW reached out to Maz Kanata, owner and founder of Maz’s Castle this morning. She had this to say:
“I assure you, food served at [Maz’s] Castle was NOT the cause of those beings suffering food poisoning. However, I will look into it to see if there is anything we can do to help those who are sick.”
If you or a loved one has suffered food poisoning due to eating at Maz’s Castle please let FakingStarWars know and report it to the NRFDA. We will update this story immediately and let our readers know when the food poisoning problem is rectified.
