Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams Spotted on Han Solo Film Set
IVER HEATH, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, ENGLAND — Reports have been flooding the FSW email box stating that both Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams have been spotted on the set of the young Han Solo solo Star Wars spin-off film. And no, they weren’t just there to advise their younger selves.
According to a dozen anonymous sources, the veteran actors were in costume as Han and Lando on a cantina set with a similar aesthetic to that of Cloud City from The Empire Strikes Back. Could this mean that the film is actually a series of flashbacks while Han and Lando jest about the good old days? It certainly appears to be the case.
In one of the emails received, the sender, who calls himself Harry Dodge, indicated that the old space pirates are indeed meeting to reminisce about past events.
“After bragging and telling stories to some young pilots, Lando asks Han if he recalls a specific event. Han says he remembers like it was yesterday, or something to that effect.”
Dodge says there will be a few cut-aways from the main story, which he declined to indulge us in, and it will be similar to The Princess Bride in how it would take breaks from the story when the child would ask the grandfather questions. Just replace the children with wide-eyed young pilots and the grandfather with Han, Chewie, and Lando.
Another source, called Lockjaw, told us that Harrison was wearing a costume based on rejected The Force Awakens concept art of Han.
“Ford has a beard and is wearing a long duster jacket over the standard Solo garb. It was very cool and he looked very handsome for an older man.”
With Lando, the costumers dipped into the McQuarrie vault it seems as this description from Lockjaw sounds very similar to the original look Lando had in McQuarrie’s Empire Strikes Back concepts.
“Williams looks very regal. He has a flowing crimson shirt with spotless white pants and cape. He looks great for a man of nearly 80.”
We get the feeling that Lando is still the top dog on Bespin due to this “regal” attire. Makes us wonder if he is a true politician now, not just in it for the cash.
Additionally, a final source going by the moniker, Jabrams, has stated that these moments including the elder Han and Lando take place about a year prior to The Force Awakens while the bulk of the movie with young Han and Lando will take place about 10 years prior to A New Hope.
