Finn Wears Poe Boxers in The Last Jedi!
FSW managed to get the skinny — on the skivvies — Finn sports in a revealing bacta suit scene. After the jump, we get to the naked truth behind The Last Jedi’s most eyebrow-raising moment.
AHOY! SPOILERS AHEAD!
It’s no secret that Poe and Finn are the bromantic heart at the center of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. By the end of The Force Awakens the pair could virtually finish each other’s sentences. Such is their connection. And it all started with Poe’s flight jacket, which he so graciously lent to his newfound buddy Finn.
Well, we’re happy to report that fashion connection not only continues in The Last Jedi, it actually grows stronger. This time around, as if to mark the deepening of their relationship, Poe lends Finn his flight shirt, cargo pants AND boxer shorts! No, that wasn’t a typo.
During one of the opening scenes of Rian Johnson’s “weird” sequel, we catch up with Finn as he recuperates in a full body bacta suit. We see him writhe in agony as a needle droid within the suit tests his limb functionality. Remember, it was only a few days ago in film time that Finn sustained a lightsaber blow to his spine, courtesy of the dastardly Kylo Ren.
The entire scene is very reminiscent of Luke’s recuperation scene in The Empire Strikes Back. If you recall, we also catch glimpse of Skywalker’s skivvies for a hot second. In a bit of pottery, Rian Johnson lets the camera linger near Finn’s abdominal area, where the logo for Poe Boxer can be seen at the top of Finn’s boxer shorts. In case you miss the words or happen to prefer pictures, there’s also a Poe emoji alongside the type.
Clearly Poe has given Finn an all-access pass to his closet of aviator, cool guy gear. It will be interesting to see how the bros dynamic changes, however, upon the introduction of Rose, a potential love interest for Finn. Will Poe take his outfit back? Will Finn get to keep the Top Gun soundtrack? Only time will tell.
