Colin Trevorrow is the latest filmmaker to “part ways” with Lucasfilm after months of butting heads with Kennedy. The now-former-director of Star Wars: Episode IX is said to have been struggling to get a script approved by the Lucasfilm Story Group after requiring several rewrites due to the sudden death of Carrie Fisher. Or at least that’s the story being fed to the mainstream media.
