Jake Skywalker Admits To Hacking Mark Hamill’s Twitter
Yet another weird new twist in the ongoing Mark Hamill Twitter controversy has Star Wars fans reeling! To bring you up to speed: a clip of Hamill recently surfaced where the actor admitted to having reservations about how The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson was treating the character of Luke Skywalker. During the press junket interview (which has suspiciously been taken down from YouTube as of this writing), Hamill says:
“I said to [director Rian Johnson], ‘Jedis don’t give up. I mean, even if [Luke] had a problem, he would maybe take a year to try and regroup, but if he made a mistake, he would try to right that wrong, so right there, we had a fundamental difference.”
Despite his issues with where the story was headed, Hamill was also very frank about the filmmaker’s motivation in writing Luke differently.
“It’s not my story anymore, it’s somebody else’s story and Rian needed me to be a certain way to make the ending effective. That’s the crux of my problem. Luke would never say that. I’m sorry. In this version…see, I’m talking about the George Lucas Star Wars, this is the next generation of Star Wars.”
Mind you, this is on a press tour intended to generate positive headlines for the film. But Hamill continued and fired even more shots at Disney’s new take on the character he made famous 40 years ago.
“I almost had to think of Luke as another character. Maybe he’s ‘Jake Skywalker,’ he’s not my Luke Skywalker. But I had to do what Rian wanted me to do because it serves the story well.”
The explosive clip immediately went viral, adding more fuel to a fandom already ablaze because of how decisive Episode VIII proved to be. But the latest development is even crazier! Hamill has tweeted an apology, completely reversing the comments he made on the controversial press junket. The tweet was pinned to the top of his profile for several hours with both fans and detractors of The Last Jedi completely baffled. Conspiracy theorists speculate Disney must have given Hamill a stern talking to, perhaps threatening to bounce him off Episode IX and blackball him from the lucrative animated voiceover industry,
However, one of our sources was contacted by a man claiming to be the Jake Skywalker, and the tale he shared was just as controversial as Hamill’s statements! This mystery figure claims to have hacked Hamill’s Twitter in order to put words in his mouth in support of The Last Jedi.
“He said it himself. It’s not his story. It’s my story. So Hamill needs to just sit down, shut up and clap for my Oscar-worthy performance. I put in work. I’ve been training. There’s no way I’m going to let him or anyone besmirch my role of a lifetime.”
Jake claims to have used the power of astral projection to log into Hamill’s Twitter and change his tune to that of unabashed love for The Last Jedi. According to the Jedi master, this isn’t the first time he’s had to intervene and course-correct Hamill’s tweets.
“He’s constantly putting false narratives out there. I don’t get it. I mean, the guy cashed the Disney checks, and he earned double what I made, but do you see me complaining?!”
Our source tells us Jake has compiled a dossier of damning evidence against Hamill and is hoping to present it to Disney CEO Bob Iger soon. “I’m done cleaning up Mark’s messes. It’s become a full-time job. But with any luck, I’ll get him fired from Episode IX and Jake Skywalker can finally get his moment in the twin suns. Alone.”
What do you think? Did Jake hack Hamill’s Twitter? Or is there something else at play in this ongoing Twitter drama? Let us know in the comments! For even more on this and all other Star Wars news worth faking, keep it locked to FakingStarWars.net.
