Kelly Marie Tran Shoots Down Teen's Prom Invite

SAN DIMAS, CALIFORNIA — San Dimas High School junior Jerome Todd has taken to social media to invite Star Wars: The Last Jedi star Kelly Marie Tran to his school’s upcoming prom. Unfortunately for Jerome, the “treasure” of Star Wars fandom denied his request but what happened after was quite amazing.

It seems the Rose Tico actress has a real life crush on her co-star John Boyega as she replied to Jerome’s tweet with a screen shot of her kissing Finn during the Crait battle scene from The Last Jedi with the words: “My heart belongs to another…” and tagged Boyega. Of course Boyega, a big deal on social media, had to chime in.

Poor Jerome never got another word in as this led to Tran and Boyega going back and forth, spiraling further and further out of control using various emojis and Simpsons gifs in lieu of actual sentences. Needless to say Boyega deleted all the tweets regarding the matter which led to Tran doing the same. Jerome asked her again but Tran simply replied, “no.”

Better luck next year Jerome! Maybe try and stick with girls from your own school.
