The Shocking Truth Behind Why Kelly Marie Tran Deleted Her Instagram!
After months of speculation surrounding why Star Wars actor Kelly Marie Tran deleted her Instagram, the porg is finally out of the bag — and boy does it subvert what other media outlets have been reporting!
According to an email sent to us from someone claiming to be Tran’s manager, the performer wasn’t being bullied by “toxic fans” as was widely reported by questionable media outlets with zero evidence. The truth is actually far creepier.
Apparently, director Rian Johnson had become obsessed with Tran to the point of “liking” and commenting on every one of her posts. He’d even go so far as to repost some of her “grams” after photoshopping himself into the photos. The affable 29-year old thought it slightly peculiar, but chalked up to just another case of “Rian being Rian.” It wasn’t until her friends and family started seeing Johnson inserted into their photos with Tran that concerns were raised.
“Rian has a high-profile girlfriend who works in Hollywood yet here he is carrying on like a bachelor on Instagram. You have to understand, Kelly looked at Rian like a dorky brother, so the whole thing was off-putting for her. When I reminded her that she looked just like his high school crush, and that’s the reason he pushed Kathleen Kennedy to hire her… it finally clicked, and she was devastated,” said Tran’s manager.
To avoid epic awkwardness, Tran was advised to delete her Instagram rather than continue being subjected to Johnson’s bizarre comments and memes.
“Kelly wants her followers to know they did nothing wrong, and she misses them dearly — except for Rian, of course. She also wants to apologize to Star Wars Twitter, because without Kelly around to obsess over, Rian now has waaaay too much time on his hands… which he spends attacking anyone and everyone on the platform for no reason.”
This wouldn’t be the first time the media has pushed a certain narrative only to be proven wrong. Earlier this month, several websites claimed Daisy Ridley had deleted her Instagram because of bullying as well. This turned out to be flat out wrong, as Ridley herself said she simply had no time for the platform… and while she respects the people who can handle the pressure of having to always be “on” for the Gram, it’s not something she wants to focus on.
