Mark Hamill Cast in Duel Roles for Episode IX

In a surprising twist of fate, Mark Hamill has confirmed in an interview that he will be portraying two characters in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX.

“Yeah I’m back as Luke again in [Episode] IX. But I’m also playing another character that I can’t go into detail about… and no, it’s not just a voice role. I’ve already said to much, Emperor Kennedy will have my head!”

So Hamill is returning to portray Luke Skywalker, the perfect hero of the original trilogy, and a new mystery character. But the FSW theory crafting department in Reno has determined the second character Hamill is portraying is none other than Jake Skywalker, Luke’s dark clone who has taken center stage within the sequel trilogy thus far.

Bigger Luke? Luke Prime? Who gives a shit?
Jake and Luke Skywalker… or maybe Luke and Jake Skywalker. We really don’t know which is which as the one on the left could be standing on a rock or his tippy toes.

Our head theorist, Malcolm Tsiolkovsky, believes Jake Skywalker is tied to the infamous “Bigger Luke” due to a very similar looking person having been seen on set, yet he appears to be slightly taller than the veteran actor.

A popular fan theory states that there have been two Luke Skywalkers in the Star Wars universe since the film franchise’s inception. This is noted by height discrepancies throughout the original trilogy. Luke Prime, the good hero, is shorter than the aforementioned “Bigger” Luke who is nearly the same height as Han Solo yet secretly evil.

This will surely make fans of the original trilogy happy since they didn’t want to see their hero turning into a grumpy old man who would slaughter his own nephew in cold blood as seen in the divisive Last Jedi.

Tsiolkovsky and his theorists also believe that Luke will face off against Jake in the climax of the film but eventually team up to take down Kylo as he is their mutual enemy.
