ADA Warns Against Cavity Producing Droid Figure
With Halloween right around the corner, the American Dental Association (ADA) has stepped up its watch guarding efforts and issued a warning against new droid action figure R4-B0018. The orange, yellow and white astromech droid is part of Disney’s Droid Factory line of parks-exclusive figures. But according to ADA spokesman Stephen Gross, the new droid is a veritable cavity factory.
“It’s made almost entirely of 3D printed candy corn, pure and simple. Do you want your kids playing with that? It’s completely irresponsible of Disney to release a toy targeting the cravings of young children, especially during the Halloween season.”
To make matters worse, the super sweet action figure features a retractable arm complete with a faux piece of genuine Brach’s candy corn in its grip.
“It not edible, yet it shimmer and shines like the real thing. What do you think kids are going to do with it as soon as they get their grubby little hands on it? The amount of sugar coating the plastic mould can give them a mouthful of cavities after only 4 hours of sucking,” warned Gross.
The ADA is urging parents and toy collectors everywhere to take caution and keep the “candy corn droid” away from children… unless you want them having teeth only a Sith would love.
