Ghost Of Carrie Fisher Deletes Voice Actress After Insensitive Tweet
HACKENSACK, NJ — Voice actress Rachel Butera has mysteriously disappeared in what multiple eyewitnesses claim was an abduction via spectral apparition. The actress, who voices Leia in the new Star Wars cartoon Resistance, was last seen in the courtyard of the multi-family home where she lives in a basement apartment.
According to her upstairs neighbors, Sal and Josie Delfina, Ms. Butera had been distraught all afternoon following a Twitter incident involving the 9-hour Senate hearing involving Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasy Ford. As most of the country tuned in to watch the testimony detailing Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh — President Trump’s nominee for Supreme Court Justice — Butera posted a video to Twitter mocking Ford’s vocal fry. 
In the clip, which was taken down within 30 minutes, Butera does a baby voice and portrays Ford as a big faker who is seemingly putting on the voice for sympathy points. The voice actress quickly posted an apology:
“I was by no means mocking a rape victim I am 100% on Christine Blasy Ford’s side! I am just a vocal impressionist and decided to imitate her voice but it was a mistake. I apologize a and I believe ALL women.”
Her damage control fell on deaf ears as the Internet began demanding she be fired by Disney for her insensitive actions. As a result, Butera made her Twitter account private and decided to lay low. Unfortunately for Butera, it may already be too late; her tweets caused a disturbance in the netherworld… if her neighbors are to believed.
“She was screaming into her phone all afternoon and finally stepped out for a smoke when the ghost appeared,” said Mr. Delfina. The neighbors report seeing an apparition that looked a lot like Carrie Fisher. The blue-ish ghost approached Butera, who was petrified.
“Rachel was pleading with the ghost. I was scared at first too, but then I started laughing because Rachel went into an impression of Brett Kavanaugh. I heard her telling the ghost ‘I drink beer. I went to Yale. I drink beer. I’m a model citizen. I go to church!’ but it didn’t work,” said Ms. Delfina.
Unimpressed and further insulted by Butera’s second tasteless impression of the day, the ghost touched the voice actress and the veteran Howard Stern Show performer immediately dissipated into nothing.
“Bro, she was there one minute… and then gone — just like that. Her faux designer sunglasses and wig fell to the ground… I have no idea where the rest of her is though,” added Mr. Delfina.
Local authorities are dumbfounded by Butera’s disappearance but do not suspect foul play. Ghost hunting experts and friends of FSW Kyle and Lyle Hamilton are currently testing Butera’s sunglasses for ectoplasmic fingerprints.
No word on whether or not Disney has already replaced Butera on voice duties for Resistance.
