Details LEAK About Star Wars Episode IX
Super Smash Bros. isn’t the only thing the Grinch is spoiling! We have received a leak for Star Wars Episode IX from a person on set going by the handle “Grinch’s Uncle”. Grinch’s Uncle has been so kind to send us this plot leak for the upcoming film and it sounds very plausible! So beware if this ends up being true.
SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!
- The First Order has subjugated most of the galaxy, but Kylo is a “benevolent tyrant” and is avoiding needless bloodshed.
- The Resistance is scattered across the galaxy, and the First Order/Knights of Ren are killing all new Force-sensitives and searching for Rey at Kylo’s behest.
- Finn and Rey go on a mission together, and spend pretty much the entire movie working side by side. Their relationship is back to being a major focus after getting sidelined in THE LAST JEDI.
- There is a rift when Finn finds out Rey wants to save Kylo rather than kill him. He’s on full Resistance mode now and fears Rey’s conflicting feelings might make her weak, which she cannot afford to be since she’s their secret weapon.
- There is a large subplot about the Resistance recruiting space outlaws and warriors from the Outer Rim to help them fight the First Order. Keri Russell, Naomi Ackie and Dominic Monaghan would be playing outlaw leaders/members, and this would bring Maz Kanata and Lando Calrissian back into the fold.
- Kylo replaced Hux with a new, more loyal and efficient official played by Matt Smith. Hux is thus leaking information to the Resistance hoping they manage to kill Kylo and enable him to take command. Richard E. Grant would also be playing a First Order officer.
- The plot seems to be divided between Finn/Rey trying to stop Kylo from manipulating the Force to get stronger, while Poe/Maz/Leia (through archive footage) works to take down the First Order. Rose’s role seems to be fairly minimal.
- Lando is still a rich businessman and is secretly funding the Resistance now they have no New Republic to bankroll them.
- At some point, Finn will get a chance to rescue kids like he once was from First Order brainwashing/indoctrination.
- Luke appears as a Force ghost/hallucination that haunts Kylo from beyond the grave and questions his actions and choices.
- Kylo and Rey have another duel for the fate of the galaxy.
