Megan Fox Explores Tragedy of Plagueis The Wise On New Show
Move over, Doctor Aphra — there’s a new rogue archeologist in town! Film star and television presenter Megan Fox is digging for the truth behind the galaxy’s biggest mysteries on her new show, Legends of the Lost. The series finds Fox traveling to far-off places, including Scandinavia, Mars, the Bermuda Triangle — even Coruscant — on her quest to shed light on the stories that have vexed historians for years.
Legends makes the first time Fox has gone public with her love of archaeology and antiquities. In fact, the sex symbol faced an uphill battle selling the show to networks. “They couldn’t believe I was into Star Wars let alone archaeology. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. I love getting my hands dirty and investigating the truth behind mythological mysteries. The Travel Channel was the only network that took me seriously,” said Fox via WhatsApp.
Not only did she sell the show, Fox actually serves as executive producer of the series. “It’s great because as EP I get to tap into my network of friends, who are also really into this stuff. People like Giorgio Tsoukalos from Ancient Aliens and Kathleen Kennedy from Lucasfilm… they’re part of my investigative team, and really help provide interesting takes on what to make of things,” added Fox.
In a subsequent episode of Legends, both Tsoukalos and Kennedy accompany Fox on a journey to the Jedi Library on Coruscant to unravel the mystery of Darth Plagueis. “I’ve always been intrigued by the tragic tale… and lord knows, I have a few questions. Did Palpatine make the whole thing up? Where is Darth Plagueis now? How will this impact the sequel trilogy? That episode is very special to me… mainly because I got to work with Jocasta Nu and her team of Youngling librarians,” said Fox.
The mother of four also revealed she’s actively in talks to join the Star Wars universe as a fan favorite character that shares her love of tomb raiding. “Kat [KathleenKennedy] wants me to be Doctor Aphra in a show for their new streaming channel… I’m just trying to see if I can fit it in my schedule… maybe after Legends is done… obviously I’d love bringing Aphra to life, since we both love a good treasure hunt.”
