RUMOR: Clone Wars Character to Appear in Episode 9?
WOW! A fan-favorite Clone Wars era character is set to appear in Star Wars Episode IX. After the jump, find out who our super secret spy saw on set while filming the final film of the sequel trilogy and Skywalker saga. And the actor who is playing this character will surprise you even more!
This comes from one of Jacen’s cousins who works as a plumber in the UK. He got called into Pinewood to fix a leak on the soundstage Episode IX is using. While there he chatted with his cousin who works as an assistant best boy on the set and this is what he found out and saw. Spoilers ahead!
- In Episode IX, JJ Abrams is planning to use Ahsoka to answer the question of where Rey came from.
- Ahsoka worked with the Rebellion.
- Ahsoka was demoralized (like Luke).
- Ahsoka refused to train Leia.
- Ahsoka was hiding force sensitive children on backwater planets to keep them out of the reach of the dark side.
- Rey is one of those children Ahsoka will be in Episode IX and she will be old, in her 70’s and will represent the new neutral view of the force that will be carried on.
- Dame Julie Andrews has been seen on set at Pinewood in costume as Ahsoka Tano.
Wow. If at all true, this would certainly bridge the Star Wars eras, but is it the right move? Will pandering to Clone Wars fans and acolytes of Dave Filoni pay off when Episode IX debuts, or will it create further backlash against an IP that’s largely floundering?
