Kelly Marie Tran Dating Black Mirror Star

It appears as though the internet’s favorite Star Wars woman of color is getting her happy ending after all. Kelly Marie Tran has reportedly fallen head over heels in love with Will Poulter, star of Black Mirror’s innovative “choose your own adventure” episode, Bandersnatch. The performers are said to have found solace in each other’s arms after their much-reported run-ins with nerd culture’s entitled hate mob.

If you recall, Tran deleted her Instagram after receiving hateful messages from fans who felt her character in Star Wars: The Last Jedi was responsible for its failure. Sadly, non-woman-of-color Poulter has had it even rougher, having been the focus of 200% more instances of online bullying than Tran.

First, he faced a critical thrashing for his performance in The Chronicle of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 2010. Next, Poulter was harassed by Tim Curry fans in 2017 when rumors began to surface that the young actor was in the running for the role of creepy supernatural clown Pennywise in the film adaptation of Stephen King’s It. Curry superfans took to Twitter and threatened to boycott the film if Poulter was cast. More recently, angry nerds targeted Poulter for his portrayal of a game creator in Bandersnatch. That was the final straw.

“In light of my recent experiences I am choosing to take a step back, of sorts, from Twitter,” Poulter tweeted. “I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everybody who had watched Bandersnatch and for their responses, whatever they may be, to the materialwe created. I accept all criticisms and it’s been a delight to learn that so many of you enjoyed what many people worked very hard to produce!”

Only a week after the episode debuted, Poulter left Twitter and promptly checked himself into an online bullying support group in Los Angeles that specializes in celebrities who’ve been chased off social media by hatespeech. At the exclusive facility, which does not allow smart devices on campus, Poulter quickly bonded with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.

MBB played Cupid for KMT & WP… OMG!

According to our sources, Brown played matchmaker and introduced Poulter to Tran in January. The pair has been inseparable since. We’re told the couple spend every minute with each other and are turning their similar experiences into art.

“They’re writing a sitcom about a team of social media experts who specialize in helping celebrities and brands deal with toxic fans and PR disasters,” said Fifth Harmony Singer and FSW fan Normani Kordei.

Tran and Poulter also have big plans for their first Valentine’s Day together. Apparently they will be leaving the facility and will be turning each other’s smart phones on for the first time in months.

“Baby steps, but I think with their love for each other, we may see them back on social media one day soon,” added Kordei.

Love indeed wins! Tran and Poulter said to be grateful to their online trolls for indirectly bringing them together
