Ohio Family Already Camping Out to Be First in Line For Galaxy’s Edge
Whoa! Last week’s announcement of all the content and experiences coming to Disney World’s and Disneyland’s new Star Wars areas has the FSW crew very excited! But not as excited as an Ashcastle, Ohio family, who’ve already traveled to California to be the first in line for Galaxy’s Edge.
The Harveys hit the road on Friday March 1st and arrived in California Tuesday afternoon. When asked why the family left so early, Bev Harvey, the family patriarch, had this to say:
“Of course the park won’t open until sometime this summer, but we decided to make a whole thing out of it. We stopped at a few landmarks along the way and we were still first in line! My wife Danny was surprised no one was already camping out! She figured Jason Ward and his brood would have beaten us since they live nearby, but we did listen to NOW THIS IS PODCASTING the whole trip from Ohio.”

We asked the family how this will affect the children’s schooling and the parents’ jobs. Bev’s wife Danny told us they work from home anyway and the kids are home schooled, so no harm no foul. Bev, a professional survey taker, keeps a Wi-Fi hotspot in his pants pocket so their work and school assignments will always be completed on time.
“We love Disneyland and we love Star Wars so of course we want to be first in the doors at Black Spire Outpost!”
– River Harvey, youngest of the two children.
The Harvey family brought a tent to sleep in outside of the park and has already made arrangements with park security and the fire marshal to make sure their stay will be safe and approved.
“Yeah, we’re flattered the Harveys are so passionate about the new Galaxy’s Edge addition to the park but we don’t even know what day the park will open and if it will even open this year. A lot of construction is still happening and most of our staff are incompetent boobs. We’ve already had to replace some of the trainees. One guy, Edward, just took the job to sleep in the break room rather than out on the streets I think.”
– Reggie Shaffer, head grounds keeper at Walt Disney Land.
