David Spade To Star In Future Star Wars Project?
Out of the blue in the vast ocean that is Twitter, legendary comedian and entertainer David Spade pressed “SEND” on a cryptic message that may point to his involvement in a future Star Wars project. Is it a tease or a simple joke? FSW sleuths will discover the truth!
Yesterday, April 4th, Spade made the above tweet, which pokes fun at the fan-made slogan, “May the Fourth Be With You.” It may just be an innocent joke, or it may be a hint that he is going to be in a Star Wars film or series for Disney+. Shortly after making the tweet, he “LIKED” the following tweet that FSW’s own Link Voximilian made in response.
Could this be confirmation or is he just a celebrity fan of Faking Star Wars? For the record, Spade is no stranger to tweeting about the galactic franchise. Back in 2012, he mentioned seeing Gungan entertainer Jar Jar Binks at auditions he was at. So either Binks was up for comedic roles outside of Star Wars that Spade was also in the running for, OR Spade was at auditions for Star Wars!
Either way, it looks like we will be seeing Spade and Binks together on screen sometime in the near future as Binks landed a guest starring role on Spade’s upcoming Diablo Cody HBO series.
The real question is, what do YOU think? Is Spade teasing involvement in Star Wars or just trolling? We are happy with both choices!
