WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today is a holy day for Star Wars fans around the globe. May the Fourth, the fan made, Lucasfilm approved holiday started in happiness but ended in tragedy. When a group of fans, celebrating Star Wars Day lost all their merchandise, party favors, and memorabilia in a kitchen fire. Many notable figures in the fandom offered their condolences including actors Anthony Daniels, John Boyega, the Maker himself George Lucas and last but not least, former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“During the holy day for nerd culture, we must stand by one another in times of hardship. I’m praying for the Force worshippers and geeks in New Riansburg, Maryland.”

–Hillary Clinton

While we are touched by Mrs. Clinton’s sentiments, but can’t help but notice she spelled the word “worshipers” incorrectly. Some other Star Wars fans noticed that other prominent political figures, and outspoken Star Wars fans, including former president Barack Obama and U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, had used the phrase “Force worshippers” too.

Soon, a suspicion arose. It turns out “Force worshippers” is a euphemism used by Star Trek fans who don’t want to say ‘the Force’ according to many people within the Fandom Menace movement.

Greg Jenkins III, Esq. of Disney Star Wars Is Dumb.

“We’re actually called Star Warriors not ‘Force worshippers’ and wouldn’t hurt to maybe just say that,” a Disney Star Wars Is Dumb writer tweeted. “The politicians are Trekkies and fake fans who could not bring themselves to identify the victims of the May the Fourth fire as Star Warriors.”

We reached out to Clinton’s publicist but did not hear back by time of publication. What do you think of this news? Were Clinton, Obama, and Ocasio-Cortez trolling Star Wars fans because they’re actually Trekkies or is Jenkins blowing this out of perpetration because three people made a typo?
