Lucasfilm Games Developing George Lucas Dating Simulator
Lucasfilm Games, the developer behind Maniac Mansion, Battlehawks 1942, The Secret of Monkey Island, and many more, is developing a video game all about wooing and dating the Maker himself, George Lucas. The dating simulator, called George Lucas in Love after the classic fan film of the same name, showed up on the Nintendo Switch eShop early this morning under the “coming soon” category.
Lucasfilm’s Matt Martin told FSW that the game will be available for free on September 24th exclusively for Nintendo Switch but releasing for other platforms sometime before December 20th when the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases in theaters.
“From the people who brought you the Monkey Island series, comes the world’s first George Lucas dating simulator,” the eShop description reads.
George Lucas in Love puts players in control of a promising film school student who’s studying alongside a young George Lucas. While trying to be the best film maker, you will also spend your time trying to woo George and eventually become his business partner. You will be able to fully customize your avatar in 1960’s inspired clothing and hairstyles.
Martin says there are nearly 100 hours of entertaining gameplay, a secret ending, and a special preview for The Rise of Skywalker if you find the secret ending. Players will be able to create their own short films in the game as well as compose music and more.
Look out for George Lucas in Love coming soon to Nintendo Switch. Know for a fact that the FSW staff will be picking this game up and streaming it on our YouTube channel so stay tuned.
