Frank Oz Spoils Rian Johnson’s Whodunnit
“Dunnit, I have,” said legendary performer Frank Oz when asked about his appearance in director Rian Johnson’s new film Knives Out. The 75-year-old giant of the puppeteering world recently attended a special screening of The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance, and was gracious enough to answer several questions.
Regarding Knives Out, Oz said he was thrilled to be cast in a role where he wouldn’t have to service puppets from under furniture or behind some rocks.
“Excited for my second team-up with Rian, I am. But… ree-hee-hee… on the menu, nothing but revenge there is. Begun my spoilers have,” cautioned Oz, who famously had issues with how Johnson wrote the character of Yoda in The Last Jedi.
Without further prompting, Oz went on to divulge every twist and turn to the plot of Knives Out. Despite appearing onscreen for only a few minutes in an uncredited role, Oz claimed his character is the key to everything,
“The killer, I am. In the library with a candlestick, I stabbed him ree-hee-hee. Me kissing the maid, final shot of the film it is,” said Oz.
The puppet master was adamant we post a story detailing his Knives Out spoilers immediately. Oz hopes his big reveals go a long way towards ruining the film’s opening weekend.
“When drunk Yoda you write for a movie, watch your back you must. Ree-hee-hee. Spoil all your future films, I will.”
