PewDiePie Robs Star Wars Fans Of Worst Fan Base Title
Just when you think there could be nothing worse than terrible Star Wars fans, a completely unscientific poll comes along to upend your entire universe. Vulture.com blogger Michelle Spies recently held an online tournament (her second we’re told) to determine the absolute worst of the worst fandoms in all of geek culture. And lo and behold… SPOILER ALERT… Star Wars fans lost… badly, failing to crack the final four, which was ultimately won by PewDiePie fans of all things.
Obviously, this isn’t sitting well with the manbaby element of Star Wars fandom.
“I demand a recount handled by a third party, because I’m certain PewDiePie fans used Russian troll accounts to rig this thing,” said toxic influencer Kristian Harloff. The Collider Jedi Council member believes Star Wars fandom was robbed, and should have easily won the tournament.
“We’ve bullied Kelly Mary Tran, started petitions to remake The Last Jedi, and I personally had an on-air meltdown when Disney didn’t invite me to the Galaxy’s Edge opening. PewDiePie and his fans are simply not on our level.”
Harloff’s sentiments are shared by Jeremy from the YouTube channel Geeks & Gamers.
“I pump out maybe 3 videos a day, 5 if you count my vlogs from the car, and all of them are about how Disney is screwing the pooch with Star Wars. If I’m not screeching about Kathleen Kennedy, I’m throwing Rian Johnson under the bus for the eight hundredth time… so, in what bizarre universe are Star Wars fans like me not the most toxic fandom in the history of fandom. Hell, it’s the only thing I do well. I’ve dedicated my life to this. I can’t really process losing to someone with such an annoying voice… but, you know what, I’ll be blaming Disney in a video later today.”
Given their resounding defeat — Star Wars fans only made it to the third round of voting — a call to arms has been issued for them to become worse than they already are as we approach the holiday season and the release of The Rise Of Skywalker. “We have to double our efforts if we hope to defeat PewDiePie’s bro army in next year’s tournament. Together, we can do so much worse,” said one anonymous Star Wars troll.
Look out, PewDiePan fans. The Fandom Menace is coming for your crown.
