Office Manager Slays With Cara Dune Face Tattoo
MONTVALE, NJ — “Bagel Friday” at the corporate headquarters of Liberty Travel became a bit spicier last week thanks to office manager Jeffrey Keene Shultz. The mild-mannered 43-year old debuted a teardrop tattoo on his face in the shape of Cara Dune, a character from the upcoming live-action Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian. As to be expected, reactions were swift and varied throughout the office; some of Shultz’s colleagues applauded the new ink on his left cheek, while others felt it crossed a line that went well beyond his face.
“Jeff is great, really, don’t get me wrong. But his new tattoo is a problem. If you ask me, it glorifies prison gang violence. And what does it even mean? That he killed the woman on his face? I am so confused. But I’m not about to ask him, that’s for sure,” said travel agent and 3rd floor fire warden Liz Kowalski.
According to Regional District manager Dennis Johnson, himself a Star Wars superfan, Schultz’s new look is actually helping to sell bookings.
“Already this afternoon, I’ve had two families book Disneyland vacation packages because of Jeff’s tattoo. Customers see it and ask me what it’s all about, so I explain how Jeff loved Galaxy’s Edge so much, he got a character tattooed on his face. Believe it or not, people love that a theme park could inspire a drip like Jeff to live on the edge for a change.”
While the office may be torn over his new look, Schultz is definitely enjoying the attention his new mug commands.
“Before I was just a white guy in khakis that everyone thought was kinda creepy, but now I’m all that but with an ex-shocktrooper on my face. I love that it gets people talking, so I’m hoping those people will talk to me soon.”
Shultz’s tattoo is actually a subversive take on the one Carano’s character sports in the TV show. Whereas hers is the iconic Rebel Alliance Starbird, his features her full character tattooed in the exact same spot.
“I haven’t seen the show yet, but I feel like Cara Dune is my spirit animal, so I wanted to honor her. Fun fact, Cara means face in Spanish, so where else would I get Cara Dune played by Gina ‘Cara-no’ tattooed on my body? Ain’t it cool?!”
