Adam F. Goldberg to Produce New Star Wars Comedy for Disney+
The Walt Disney Company has announced a once-in-a-lifetime media miracle, as guests at Galaxy’s Edge will become part of the newest Disney+ series, The Droids You’re Looking For, created by showrunner and major Star Wars fanboy, Adam F. Goldberg of The Goldbergs fame!
That’s right, starting in December, select Disneyland and Disney World guests who visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can become part of Goldberg’s new show and help a droid-building family outwit the First Order through zany antics and comedic subterfuge.
But not every visitor will get to face off against Kylo Ren and company in The Droids You’re Looking For. According to Goldberg, only the most camera-ready fans will be featured in the taping of the show. So be sure to wear your best cosplay outfits if you’d like to take part in the revolutionary new show.
The Droids You’re Looking For represents Disney’s first attempt at using their new Star Wars theme park as the backdrop for an actual scripted series. Needless to say, the cast and crew are thrilled to be part of something innovative and exclusive to Disney+.
The actors in particular, who’ve already achieved success with interactive live shows in Disneyland and Disney World can’t wait for the opportunity. It might be tricky, given the lack of acting experience for most park-goers, but the cast welcomes the challenge and believes they can stay on target with the loosely scripted series.
The Goldbergs’ own Patton Oswalt pal, Lisa Corrao of Nickelodeon’s Every Witch Way is part of the ensemble cast in The Droids You’re Looking For. Carrao will portray Zeverly Yevoc, the domineering, matronly spark that keeps zinging First Order troopers with one one-liner after another.
“When I found out we would be working with droids again, I couldn’t believe my luck. I met this special little droid, ‘Wheels’ back in April at Supercon, and I told Disney I would only agree to be a part of [The Droids You’re Looking For] if ‘Wheels’ could co-star. It only took them a parsec to agree, and well, now I’m canon!”

Adam F. Goldberg said he is still looking to cast the lead, M’ray Glaren, the patriarch who heads the family of younglings that continue to wreak havoc at the Black Spire Outpost.
“It’s a real challenge to find the right M’ray, because he has to have chemistry with every single person in the series, including the park guests we select each week. Honestly, I have probably spent more time looking at my Garbage Pail Kid cards than returning casting directors calls. Whenever you mention Star Wars, every freak out there wants to be on the show. Well, come to think of it, that’s the point. Anyway, who are you, how did you get in here?”
–Adam F. Goldberg
A bit of a spoiler alert here, as the younglings will be played by . . . you guessed it, YOUR younglings! But don’t worry, they won’t officially be “young Disney stars” – they’ll just get to play one for a day so all the psyche-damaging scars won’t remain very long.
So next time you visit Galaxy’s Edge, remember to dress the part in your best cosplay outfit… and you just might get a part in The Droids You’re Looking For.

UPDATE: Goldberg just called to give us a bit more context regarding when his new show is set.
It’s 35 ABY and the Resistance is recruiting across the galaxy, meanwhile a group of droid builders who appear to be loyal to the First Order are secretly working with Poe Dameron and Maz Kanata to gather intelligence and sabotage the First Order while assigned to the droid manufacturing sector of Legion 709.
