Mark Hamill Still Has to Pay for Disney+
Disney+ is off to a huge start, with tons of exclusive content from Star Wars, Marvel, classic animation, and more. One might imagine if you are one of the stars of some of those films, you would get a free account, right? WRONG! As the Star Wars OG himself, Mark Hamill, who headlines several of Disney+’s biggest films at launch, revealed he doesn’t even have an account yet.
“You know, I don’t even have a Disney+ account,” Hamill told his followers via a Tik-Tok video. “I’m gonna use this opportunity to ask.” He then made his pitch to Disney on getting a free account since he is the face of Star Wars and a friggin’ Jedi Master.
“I’m waiting for a comped Disney+ account,” Hamill said. “I’ve got multiple pieces of cinematic art, f**k you Martin Scorsese, on the streaming service! This includes one of my first and best roles I’ve ever done which is a film called Star Wars from back in 1977… EVER HEARD OF IT?! It was a movie George Lucas made that 20th Century Fox owned until Disney bought Fox and Lucasfilm! I really just want to watch The Mandalorian, dammit.”
We imagine it won’t be too long before Hamill gets a comped account. So are you loving The Mandalorian on Disney+? What about Macklunkey? Do you even have an account? Are you streaming it on a VOD service because you live in a region that Disney hates? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Twitter!
