Disney Moms Outraged over Disregard for The Child
Since last Friday’s airing of The Mandalorian, dozens of moms are freaking out over the show’s lack of safety for The Child, dubbed ‘Baby Yoda’ by the fans. Jillian Keen had started the discussion on Twitter with the following tweet:
Hours later Keen, who goes by the Twitter username @CaptPhasmafan, had blown up with about 46 likes and six shares on the tweet alone. Others chimed in with typos and their view of the bad examples set by the show.
When Faking Star Wars reached out for a comment from Jill about the tweet she said the following via DM:
“I would die for The Child! I can’t believe the neglect that Mandalorian has for The Child. The lack of care disgusts me!”

Following the popular tweet, Keen has started a GoFundMe account to raise money for The Child to go to a good school. “The Child should learn proper grammar, unlike Yoda himself who spoke backward,” says Keen.
We tried reaching out to Disney directly about these concerns from viewers. We were unable to get an official response, but we spoke to Anthony Daniels who answers the phones at Disney since he’s out of the C-3PO gig. Daniels chuckled at the tweets and said, “This is the way.”
Upon further probing of the issue Daniels said, “I have spoken” and hung up. It’s a wonder why he has no friends. What are your thoughts on this? Should Disney release an official apology regarding this outrage?
