Mandalorian Director Suffers Hernia Caused By Baby Yoda Name
After weeks of carrying a heavy burden, Mandalorian Second Unit Director Sam Hargrave was rushed to the ER with a hernia late last night. According to medical reports, Hargrave had been in pain since learning the secret name of “The Child,” the wildly popular creature informally known as Baby Yoda.
“I’ve been pregnant with this thing for at least a month now. My wife hates that analogy, but boy this kid’s secret was hard to hide. In the beginning, I got away with dad jeans and oversized shirts. But you can’t get anything by Dave [Filoni]… he sensed it. So ol’ Dave joked and said I could Pain it Forward, because it was getting to the point that I couldn’t even stand.”
Hargrave said he shared Baby Yoda’s real name with one (un)lucky person whose identity he can easily keep to himself.
“I feel bad, knowing they’re going to get a hernia too but hopefully they tell someone The Child’s name as soon as the pain kicks in. No one’s going to believe them anyway,” said Hargrave.
FSW asked the medical staff who attended to Hargrave what really happened.
“Sam was carrying a melon-sized hernia in his lower abdomen. Nothing life-threatening per se, but very uncomfortable. Curiously, the mass of tissue was about the size of Baby Yoda. Wouldn’t you know it. But, honestly, no secret is worth that amount of pain,” said Dr. Wilhelm Bobofreud before buckling over, grabbing his crotch, and wincing.
