Former Star Wars Novelist Threatens Jedi Archives With Lawsuit
CORUSCANT — After successfully lobbying for the open-access digital library Internet Archive to shut down, ex-Star Wars novelist Ralph Wingdings is “laywering up” against the holocron archives and its curator Jocasta Nu within the Jedi Temple. Wingdings is going after Nu and the archives for not paying him royalties every time a library member checks out one of his novels or comics he wrote for a company he was fired from.
We were unable to secure a comment from Wingdings due to a pending lawsuit the writer filed against FSW a few years back after we put a caricature of him on a t-shirt available to purchase on our Teepublic store. His lawyers did tell FSW that they would not comment on this matter as we are not Nu nor representatives of the Jedi Temple.
FSW was able to speak with Jedi Librarian Nu regarding the matter.
“Does Mr. Wingdings not understand how public libraries work? We’re not making much money on this and we are funded by late fees and tax dollars. Mr. Wingdings’ books will just have to be removed from our archives and the archives of public libraries across the galaxy; it will be like they do not exist.”
