Grogu In Talks To Direct Episode of The Mandalorian
Cutest 👏 boss baby 👏 ever! Sources tell FSW that Grogu, the 50-year-old child star, is among the listed directors for The Mandalorian Season Three. According to our spies, Grogu wants to follow in the footsteps of actor-directors Bryce Dallas Howard and Carl Weathers who’ve stepped behind the camera to helm episodes of the hit Disney+ show.
The news has been met with excitement throughout Lucasfilm, with Grogu’s co-star particularly keen on the idea. One of our sources overheard Pedro Pascale say the following to his assistant during a prolonged elevator ride (our spy pressed every single call button before they entered).
“It’s going to be great because G can’t talk, so we’ll have to read his emotes and study his body language for direction. It’s probably going to stretch our abilities and patience, but I’m up for the challenge. This really is the future of entertainment.”
Despite the cast’s excitement, we’re told Grogu’s planned directorial debut has hit a roadblock in the form of California’s child labor laws. Given Grogu’s technically still an adolescent, the wunderkind can only be on set for six to eight hours.
We’re not sure how Disney plans to work around these limits, since the episode Grogu is set to direct also features him on-camera for several scenes. This may become one The Mandalorian’s most expensive episodes ever, but it may be worth the investment given the inevitable press it will garner.
