The Cantina Forum Bans 99% Of Members For Referring To Grogu as ‘Baby Yoda’

What’s in a name? A big fat ban, if you’re unlucky enough to use the name “Baby Yoda” on popular Star Wars messageboard The Cantina. According to our insiders, there was a “member massacre” early this morning when the mod known as Pomojema “flipped his lid” upon seeing multiple new threads using Grogu’s old name.

Apparently, The Cantina had recently updated its member code of conduct to include “deadnaming Grogu as Baby Yoda” among the infractions that result in an instant ban. 99% of members either didn’t notice the all-capped sticky posted by Pomojema or simply chose to ignore it.

“I think the Cantina community just hates the name Grogu, and they’re refusing to abide by the silly rule. I’m one of the last members standing but only because I used the initials BY instead of spelling out Baby Yoda,” said an anonymous board member.

We reached out to Pomojema at the Cantina for comment, but were referred to a movie news website, which ironically, continues to use the name Baby Yoda instead of Grogu.
