Anakin Skywalker Misses Weight For Kenobi Rematch

Filming on Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi began this week, but the production has already suffered a heavy blow. Hayden Christensen failed to make weight for the highly anticipated rematch of Darth Vader versus Obi-Wan Kenobi played by Ewan McGregor. According to our on-set mole, the former Star Wars bad boy was at least 50 pounds over the 200-pound limit.

“Dude put on the COVID-19 at least three times. There’s no way he’s fitting into the suit,” said our source, who speculates Christensen may have developed a pizza habit after starring in 2018’s Little Italy

The production has re-ordered their shooting schedule so as to accommodate this unforeseen development. Christensen’s big fight scene will be filmed last, giving the actor another six weeks to get his dad bod back. We’re told Darth Maul actor Ray Park has been brought on to help the Canadian heartthrob drop weight for his big duel against Kenobi.

“Hayden can’t waggle his lightsaber at all right now, and they’re aiming for prequel levels of acrobatics and waggle. I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” added our mole.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to debut on Disney+ next year.
