Francis McDormand Howl Turns Dave Filoni Into Giant Werewolf

Los Angeles, CA—Last night, Hollywood went full Howl-ywood!

During the 93rd Academy Awards ceremony, actress Francis McDormand howled like a wolf during her acceptance speech for Nomadland’s Best Picture win. “We give this one to our wolf,” said McDormand, a reference to the late Michael Wolf Snyder, the sound mixer who worked on the film, before letting out a pitch-perfect howl that triggered a bizarre string of events.

Nearly 100 miles away, according to neighbors, writer-director Dave Filoni began screaming in agony, with loud crashes being heard throughout his Santa Monica estate.

“I thought a coyote was fighting with a dog. The sounds were so strange. I started calling the police, then dropped my phone, when a giant white man-wolf came crashing through David’s bay window. It stopped under the streetlamp and howled something fierce. My husband said it sounded like AWOOOGA or AHSOOOKA… either way, it scared us half to death,” said Irene Borgland, one of Filoni’s neighbors in this ultra exclusive enclave.

Borgland immediately phoned the police and Los Angeles Animal Services. She remains very concerned for the welfare of Filoni, who appears to have been home at the time of the ‘werewolf’ sighting. As of this writing, however, the filmmaker has yet to turn up. The man-wolf-hunt is said to continue this evening.
