Pedro Pascal Only Voicing The Mandalorian?!

Due to actor’s guild rules, Pedro Pascal is billed as the titular character in the upcoming Disney+ series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian. However he only appeared in body as the masked bounty hunter in the pilot episode. While filming the second, he found the costume to be claustrophobic and unsettling. He immediately checked into a mental health facility to work through his claustrophobia. With their lead actor unavailable, Lucasfilm had no choice but to look for other actors fill the armor. Faking Star Wars has obtained the list of actors who donned the helmet in Pascal’s absence.

Danny DeVito

Source, FunnyJunk.

The legendary, and diminutive, comedic actor took up the mantle for the episode entitled “The Gang Gets Stranded on Hoth.” The director used forced perspective, green screen, and clever camera angles so you’ll never be able to tell it’s Mr. DeVito.

Paul Wight

The WWE superstar best known by the moniker ‘Big Show’, took up the mantle for the episode “Catch That Gungan.” Don’t question why the Mandalorian is seven feet tall in only this episode.

Duane Chapman

It’s canon that Dog was one of the bounty hunters tasked with tracking down Han Solo in Empire Strikes Back.

That’s right, Dog the Bounty Hunter suits up as he and his crew protect Greedo’s younger cousin Weedo from Ziro the Hutt’s henchmen in “Rodian Blues.” It’s a case of life imitating art, or art imitating life, or life imitating life… or something. Don’t worry about the blonde hair pouring out of the helmet.

Werner Herzog

The Academy Award-nominated director tackles triple roles in the episode “Wampa Man.” Aside from playing the bounty hunter and his regular character ‘The Client’, he also plays a high valued target known only as Wampa Man.

Gwendoline Christie

Captain Phasma trades in her chrome duds for the iconic armor in the “Rancors, Gundarks, and Nerf Hearders, Oh My!” Due to Episode IX‘s extensive reshoots the crews found themselves on the same soundstage for a few days. For keen-eyed viewers, Breane of Tarth can be seen in her Phasma get up when the Mandalorian and Gina Carano’s Cara Dune tumble into a nest of Gundarks.

Melissa McCarthy

The Oscar-nominated funny woman is dead serious as she leads the crew to bust up a counterfeit spice operation in “I Left My Boo on Naboo.”

Jeremy Bulloch

The original Mandalorian once again suits up in the season finale. Edward Norton was initially slated for the episode, but unfortunately negotiations with the demanding actor broke down. Producers then approached the original Boba Fett actor, who was appearing at LA’s Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con, and he immediately accepted the role without hesitation. Look out out for Mr. Bulloch in “Bad Day on Geonosis.”

George Lucas

Edit by WookieeNutz.

That’s right! When the Maker visited the Mandalorian set it was to film a cameo as the titular character! Who better suited to suit up than the creator of the Galaxy himself? He appears in the episode “Look Out For That Asteroid”.

Regardless of who is under the helmet Pedro Pascal provided the voice of the character similar to James Earl Jones for Darth Vader.

Be sure to tune into Disney+ on November 12th to catch the premier of the Mandalorian.
