Podcaster Subverts Expectations by Releasing Star Trek Episode on May 4th

BURBANK, OREGON — Billy “Fireball” Thompson, host of Cinematic Pleasures podcast has committed a fandom sin by uploading an episode reviewing Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan on a day people around the globe, both nerd and normie alike, celebrate as Star Wars Day.

When criticized on the “Share Your Podcast” subreddit for performing such a heinous act, Fireball had some choice things to say.

“Yea well, Star Wars sux.”

When some people agreed with him that Star Wars does in fact suck, they couldn’t condone posting a Star Trek podcast episode on May the 4th. Fireball’s link to his podcast was eventually downvoted to oblivion so he removed the post to save face.

We reached out to Fireball via Reddit DM but he again just said, “Star Wars sux.” and proceeded to block us and our subsequent sock-puppet accounts.

How do you feel about posting a non-Star Wars themed podcast episode on Star Wars Day? Should Fireball be put in podcast prison? Let us know in the comments or hit us up on social media!
