Disney Adds ‘No Baby Yoda’ Warning To Muppet Babies

Maybe it should be called Disclaimer Plus

Once again, Disney has added a content warning to programming aimed at literal babies, toddlers and progressive parents. The following message will now precede every episode of Muppet Babies when viewed on Disney Plus:

“This program does not feature Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian because the 50-year-old alien is not a baby by Muppet standards. However, this program is proud to showcase an inclusive cast of babies in a diverse spectrum of colors, including a shade very similar to Baby Yoda’s.”

Disney’s latest disclaimer comes in the wake of disclaimers added to The Muppet Show as well as several classic animated films, including Dumbo and Peter Pan.

“We can never disclaim too much information from audiences in our efforts to be completely transparent and protect them from themselves. The last thing we need is another Facebook moms group all up arms,” said Head of Disclaimer Programming Liberty Villaseñor-Chang.

It’s not all bad news for fans of Grogu though. The last line in the Muppet Babies disclaimer provides a glimmer of hope.

“Rather than arbitrarily add Baby Yoda to our content, we want to acknowledge and respect his Otherness. Perhaps one day he will get a show of his own.”
