Kylo Ren and Rey’s Relationship in Episode VIII
CHICAGO — Many people have speculated about the origins of Kylo Ren and Rey. Jacen’s sister Jaina, who is stationed at our Illinois office, uncovered some details about these two characters that may shed some light on the subject that will be revealed in Episode VIII.
Leading up to the release of The Force Awakens, we heard a plethora ideas that Kylo and Rey may be brother and sister or even twins but upon viewing the film we have determined this to not be the case. Jaina’s source gave us some insight into what is really happening between the characters. Apparently the story will be fleshed out in a Kylo Ren comic book currently in development at Marvel but the nature of their relationship is hinted at in Episode VIII.
Our source, who wished to be called “Sack Znyder,” went on record to share this bit of information over a slice of Chicago deep dish:
Ben and Rey’s relationship is really quite special. The two are cousins, this much will be revealed in the upcoming film, but they also become lovers. We will see hints of this in Episode VIII and even more in the Kylo and the Knights of Ren comic mini-series set after the film. Rey goes dark side, she comes a Knight of Ren, they hook up, kill Snoke, the rest is history. But don’t worry, Kylo uses a Force condom.
Like parents like children! Kissing cousins is a new landmark for Star Wars, and we are excited to see how this pans out. Although we at FakingStarWars are strictly #TeamFey this will add a lot of drama between Luke and Leia, possibly what puts her in a coma.
