The Phantom Menace’s Hugh Quarshie Fights for Cameo in Star Wars Episode VIII

Captain Pain-in-the-ass-aka

We have received word from a source close to Hugh Quarshie that he is fighting for a cameo in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars Episode VIII. More details after the jump.

Everyone who has seen Star Wars Episode I – The Phantom Menace will recognize Quarshie as one-off character, Captain Panaka, Queen Amidala’s bodyguard. Panaka had a semi-important role in the film, going as far as arguing with Jedi, blasting battle droids, and kissing Padme’s ass every time she had an awful idea, like tagging along with Qui-Gon on Tatooine. Unfortunately for Hugh, he wasn’t called back to appear in Episode II – Attack of the Clones or Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, being replaced by his “nephew,” the bland Captain Typho.

Well anyway, Quarshie is hardcore pushing for a cameo in Episode VIII, obviously not as his The Phantom Menace character, but as a relative, maybe the grandson of Panaka or the father of Finn, who knows.

Well we here at Faking Star Wars support bringing Hugh back to the Star Wars universe. Use this hashtag on Twitter #HughInEpisode8 and tweet @ him to show your support @HughQuarshie.
