After the revelation dumped on us by actor Freddie Prinze Jr., Star WarsExpanded Universe fans shouted out in joy as the voice of Kanan Jarrus confirmed that Legends characters will appear in Star Wars Rebels animated series. After the jump we will look at a list of characters that may appear in Rebels brought to us from an insider from Dave Filoni’s team.
My name is “Golden Gus” and I work for Dave Filoni. I won’t say what I do but I know some of the stuff he has planned for Rebels. Since FPJ let the cat out of the bag the other day I will go ahead and share who Dave is planning on dropping into Rebels from the EU.
Thrawn – Not sure if he will appear the same as he did in the EU but there is a character named Thrawn in one of the Season 3 scripts that has been completed.
Far left isn’t Plagueis but he has a penis shaped head like Plagy so I left him.
Darth Plagueis and Revan – Ezra is visited by several Sith Lords in a nightmare episode during season 3. Plagueis, Revan, Bane, and Vader all appear together and try to lure Ezra to the dark side. It is heavily implied that Ezra will become Snoke by some dialog spoken by both Plagueis and Revan.
Kyle Katarn – An agent of the Imperial Security Bureau named Kyle leaks Imperial info to the Rebels. I’m just assuming it’s Kyle Katarn due to him looking like the EU character and has the same first name.
Mara Jade – A new character from season 3 will be a character who looks identical to Mara Jade. Not 100% sure it’s her due to her production name just being “Rogue Agent.” There was no production art displaying a lightsaber but she did have a sword.
Galen Marek/Starkiller – A new Inquisitor will be introduced and it looks like the Sith Stalker outfit worn by Galen Marek in the dark ending of The Force Unleashed and will wield two lightsabers instead of the rotating duel bladed ones like the rest of the inquisitors. There is concept art of the same character but without a helmet that looks like Marek. Production art just labels him as “Inquisitor 9th Brother.”
Dash Rendar and LE-BO2D9 – The duo work for the Rebels smuggling medicine and food onto a world with an Imperial blockade in a season 3 script. Kanan and Zeb accompany them.
